2022 Commonwealth Games India’s star athlete Hima Das

India’s star athlete Hima Das is the latest example of how fast fake news spreads in the internet world. Hima is currently in the UK to participate in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games. There are still few days left in their match. But, a user on Twitter tweeted that Hima has won the gold medal. Then a four-year-old video also started playing as proof, in which Hima is seen beating everyone. After this, the process of tweeting and retweeting this news started. Even the stars did not survive its effect. Famous cricketer Virender Sehwag tweeted congratulating Hima.

Although the news of Hima winning the gold medal may not be true, but the hopes of Hima winning gold in Birmingham are absolutely true. Hima has proved many times in the past that she has the power to outdo the legendary players. She is a strong-willed athlete, whom nothing less than a victory can satisfy. Since childhood, she has been proving this thing at every turn.

No one could catch that girl on the football field. She ran so fast that the other players would just watch her move on. There was great agility in his feet. He had only one dream, to become a big football player. One day playing for the country. That’s why he insisted on his parents and took admission in a school where he could play football.

But, in a country where men’s football is not talked about, where most do not know the names of their national football players, what is the scope of women’s football? A school teacher always used to see this girl running. It was he who explained to her that she had such a skill, which she did not know about. Don’t know about football, but if he hone this skill, then he can definitely go a long way.

The word entered the girl’s mind. From that day he turned himself towards sprint running. The day then and today, that girl is running away and no one is able to catch her. We now know that Hima Das as Dhing Express.

The story of 22-year-old Hima is similar to that of track and field. Tremendous challenge. Kandhulimari village is located in Nagaon district of Assam. It is one of the thousands of villages in Assam that have to bear the ravages of the Brahmaputra waters every year. Every year a little land gets reduced from the village.

This is where Hima was born. Between five siblings. Father Ranjit Das and mother Jonali Das recall that their daughter loved to play from the beginning. She would do such things which are generally considered to be boys. She did not miss any game and the amazing thing is that the event she participated in at the school level, returned after winning something or the other.

Then when Hima turned from football to running, she participated at the district level for the first time. Won gold medals in 100m and 200m sprints. After this, she also brought gold in the District Athletics Meet.

What the teacher had said now seemed true. Hima’s first major success was winning gold in 400m at the World Under-20 Championships held in Finland in July 2018. There he took only 53.46 seconds. She was the first Indian sprinter to win a gold medal at this level. Then in the 2018 Asian Games, he set a new national record. The list of such performances and successes is very long. The list of awards and honors received by Hima is also increasing. But, Hima is not going to stop here. They love to run and don’t think anyone is going to catch them at the moment.
